Membership Requirements
The Guild of Master Plumbers is not a ‘rubber stamp’ membership, gaining membership to the Guild, will give your customers and employers confidence that you have met requirements as laid down by the Guild.
Our membership programme is tiered, as such requirements for each tier are different, here is a brief overview;| Bronze | A minimum of 1 years practical experience A minimum of 1 trade references PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE OF AT LEAST £500,000 (WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU HAVE £2,000,000)
| | Silver | - A minimum of 2 years practical experience
- A minimum of 2 trade references
- Studying towards an awarded qualification (must be awarded by City & Guilds), this can be either 6129 technical certificate or 6089 NVQ Level 2.
- PUBLIC LIABILITY OF £1,000,000.
| | Gold | - A minimum of 4 years practical experience
- A minimum of 2 trade references
- Completed 6089 NVQ Level 2 and be continuing to study towards continual professional development, ensuring that you are on top of changes to the water regulations.
- PUBLIC LIABILITY OF £2,000,000+
